Amee Nicole Topping, 33 of West Virginia has filed a lawsuit against MACYS and Estee Lauder the parent company of M.A.C Cosmetics. Topping’s lawsuit states that she was provided a sample of MAC cosmetics at a MACYS store in 2007. Topping claims that the cosmetics caused her to receive chemical burns and she subsequently checked herself into a hospital emergency room. Topping, further alleges that the injuries have caused so much pain that she was fired from her job and her disfigurement also caused her children’s school to report her to the state because they suspected that she was a victim of domestic violence. Macys and Estee Lauder have yet to respond to the lawsuit.
