The Spring 2010 collection presented by designers Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri during Paris Fashion Week was an array of delicate fabrics that appeared as a romantic affair between bows, roses and ruffles. Where the collection was absent in Valentino’s signature red it made up for it in hues of pastel yellows, browns and blues. The quality of craftsmanship even in it’s shear translucent form never wavered every ensemble stayed the course.
The spotlight even made its way down to the shoes which looked as if they were made for partying princesses as the necessary accessory to dresses that are fit for a queen. The new head designers at Valentino may be heirs to the royal palace but this collection proves that they are working hard enough to design a castle of their own.
