French designer Christian Lacroix has sold his Paris apartment. The eclectically furnished 2100 square feet apartment boasts 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and includes crown molding and no pun intended “French Doors”. The apartment sold for a price tag of $1.8 million dollars which is $200 thousand dollars less that the original asking price.
The selling of the apartment is one of many steps the extravagant designer is taking to restructure his withered finances. Last week the fashion house that bears the designer’s name announced that it has laid off 90% of it’s 120 employees. The Label has also ceased production of it’s Haute Couture and Ready To Wear collections and will focus it’s efforts on licensing, fragrances and accessories.
