Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss, wrote to E news and expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support she has received. Burruss’s  ex-fiance Ashley”A.J” Jewell died tragically Saturday night after being involved  in a fight in the parking lot outside of an Atlanta strip club. Jewell death was the result of blunt force trauma to his head. Although, his family believes that a pre-existing condition with his heart lead to him suffering a heart attack during the scuffle.

Burruss writes:

“I am devastated by the loss of A.J. His death comes on the heels of the death of my beloved Uncle Ralph and with both of them gone, my heart is heavy with grief,”

“I had spoken to A.J. two hours before I got the call that he was in the hospital. Never in a thousand years did I think it was going to be the last time I heard his voice. He was taken way too soon. There are so many things that I should have said to him, wanted to say to him, but now it’s too late…”

“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of my family and friends—and that means my Twitter and Facebook friends as well—for the beautiful words of encouragement, prayers, and the sweet condolences. I make it through these difficult days because of you.

For those of you who are regular viewers of the show you will remember that Burress’s late uncle Ralph appeared on the show as well. This isn’t the first tragedy that the 32 year old Burruss has experienced. In an interview with Essence magazine Burruss revealed that her brother had lied about a trip to Florida but really went to Mexico and died in a car accident at the age of 15.
